Burnside KY (July 14th, 2018) - FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT at Lake Cumberland Speedway. Fans were treated to discounted general admission, Corn Hole Tournament, Inflatables for the kids, prizes and giveaway, PLUS the hottest dirt track racing action in the state. The packed house was witness to another track record being broken in the KDRA Mini Stock Division for the 2nd week in a row. Zac Karr of Corbin, KY would turn a lap of 16.04 (84.16 mph) in qualifying, bettering the previous record of 16.55(81.57 mph) set by Waco, KY’s Brandon Creech just 1 week ago. Karr would go on to collect his 2nd KDRA Mini Stock Feature in as many weeks. Camaron Marlar of Winfield, TN would make it back-to-back wins in the Super Late Model Division, leading all 25 laps of the Late Model Feature. Don Adams made his 1st trip to Lake Cumberland Speedway in 2018 a dominant one, setting fast time, winning hi heat race and leading all 20 laps of the Open Wheel Modified Feature. The Open Wheel Feature did not go without excitement, as Wade Rookard of East Bernstad, KY would spin out early in the feature and battle from the tail of the field for a strong 3rd place finish. Wayne James of Newport, TN was running a strong 2nd when a flat would send him to the pits late in the race for a tire change. James would finish 8th.

Daniel Stamper of Hazard, KY had as good a weekend as he could have, picking up 2 feature wins in 2 nights. He was the KDRA Super Stock Feature winner Friday, July 13th at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY, then led all 15 laps in the KDRS Super Stock Feature at Lake Cumberland Speedway Saturday, July 14th to collect win #5 on the season. He would also collect a $200 bonus by winning features at each track.

Brylinn Ritchie of Junction City, KY made it 2 Feature wins in a row as he picked up the checkers in the Mini Cup Cyclone Division.
